This is the page that you must read if you're interested in doing a translation for the replayer. You'll find usefull information on the result expected, and how to test it.
First, download the reference file here This file is the "english" translation file. You'll find a list of entries which are all the text data output in the replayer ( menus, error messages, dialog messages, etc... ).
Your work is to keep the left part of each entry unchanged, and replace the translation ( the right part ) with yours.
You'll find heading each group of entries some comments to help you "locate" the different labels in the replayer.
Save your file and name it : testlang_XX.properties The XX part depends on your language. To find the correct value, please consult this page, and look for your language code in the very last column. This should be a 2 letters code ( "en" for english, "es" for spanish, etc... )
When your file is correctly named, put it in your "PopopopPlayer" folder. This folder is your "main storage folder", where all converted files ( XML ) are stored. You chose this location when you installed the replayer. If you can't remember it's location, open the "scan/scanned folders" of the replayer, you should see it on top of the window.
This folder should contains the "IMPORTED", "SCANNED" and "SKINS" sub-directories. Put your "properties" file there.
Then, simply restart the replayer. As long as your "testlang_XX.properties" file will be there, it will override any other language choice. This way, you'll be able to "test" your translation by seeing it.
I only expect you to check if your translation makes sense, and that you didn't misunderstood the label I expected to see at the different places.
I'll put it in the next software update
I really appreciate your help. What I would appreciate even more, is you to stay available for the software future upgrades. You may have noticed that the software is changing continuously, and when I add a new feature, it sometimes involve new labels...
So, yes, your job is done for now, but i'm looking for people available in the future for quick updates of their translation. If you want to do the translation, and disapear once it's done, I'd rather you do nothing, because I'd be stuck whenever I need to add new labels. I hope you understand.
Thank you very much for your help.
